Students felicitated

The students of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies were felicitated by professor Dinesh Singh, vice-chancellor, Delhi University for their projects on Social Initiatives.

The students of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies were felicitated by professor Dinesh Singh, vice-chancellor, Delhi University for their projects on Social Initiatives. "One such project which brought them international acclaim was "Sanitation Solutions," which helps create women entrepreneurs in slums who trade in sanitary napkins, selling them to other women in the slums," said Poonam Verma, college principal.

In this project a direct supply chain between the manufacturers and the women entrepreneurs keeps the price low. With a humble beginning with 740 women in the Bhikam Singh Colony, the project has impacted over 9,142 women from over 11 slums of Delhi and NCR.
