Dharmendra pens note for Hema, Esha after they didn't attend Karan Deol's wedding: ‘I could’ve spoken to you but…'

After Hema Malini, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol did not attend the wedding of Dharmendra's grandson Karan Deol, the veteran actor has penned a note.

Veteran actor Dharmendra seems to be regretting not personally inviting wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol to grandson Karan Deol's recent wedding. On Thursday, he took to Instagram to post a note about it, seemingly blaming his old age for the error.

Sharing an old picture with his eldest daughter Esha, Dharmendra wrote a note addressing his daughters, sons-in-law and Hema. He wrote, “Esha, Ahana, Hema and all my darling kids ……loving Takhtani’s and Vohra’s l love you and respect you all from the core of my heart……age and illness is telling upon me I could have spoken personally to to you ……..but…”

Dharmendra was first married to Prakash Kaur and has sons Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and daughter Ajieta and Vijeta with her. With his second wife, Hema Malini, he has daughter Esha and Ahana. Earlier this month, Sunny's eldest son Karan Deol got married to Drisha Acharya. Everyone from the Deol family attended the ceremonies but Hema and her daughters did not.

However, Esha did wish the new couple on their wedding. "Congratulations Karan and Drisha. Wishing you both a lifetime of togetherness and happiness (red heart and evil eye amulet emojis),” she wrote. Responding to her, Karan wrote on his Instagram Story, "Thank you so much."

Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur in 1953 when he was yet to make his Bollywood debut. While working in films, Dharamendra's closeness with the famous actress Hema Malini started growing and in 1980 the two tied the knot. Dharmendra and Hema appeared in films like The Burning Train, Sholay, Raja Jani, Baghavat, Dharm Aur Qanoon and Do Dishayen.

In the coming months, Dharmendra will be seen in director Karan Johar's film Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The film is all set to release on July 28, 2023. Apart from that, he also has Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's upcoming untitled romantic film.
