Kareena Kapoor wishes neice Samaira Kapur on her 17th birthday with a childhood picture of the teenager. She also shared a sweet birthday wish for her.

Karisma Kapoor's daughter Samaira turned 17 on Friday. Aunt Kareena Kapoor posted a sweet wish for the birthday girl on Instagram. The actor shared a childhood picture of Samaira and Karisma and praised her for being a “fabulous elder sister” to their boys Kiaan, Taimur and Jehangir. Samaira is the daughter of Karisma from her ex-husband Sanjay Kapur.

Wishing her on her birthday, Kareena wrote on Instagram, “Mamma's baby girl…fabulous elder sister to our boys …Kind, gentle and beautiful…All of 17. Happy birthday to our Samaira (heart icon) love you so much. @therealkarismakapoor #Lolo ki Beti Sam is 17."

Karisma showered the post with several heart icons. Kareena's sister-in-law Saba Ali Khan also wished her saying, “Happy Birthday Samaira.” A fan commented to the post, “Cute Lolo ki beti.” Another wrote, “It's so cute. Momma and daughter.”

Samaira is never spotted at film events or parties. She, however, accompanies her mom to family functions. On being asked if Samaira will join Bollywood, Karisma had told Spotboye in an interview, “That’s not true. My daughter and her group of friends are interested in films through all aspects of movies, so whether it will be behind the scenes or in front of the camera I still do not know. They are just experimenting now and learning the ropes. So right now there are no such plans per se. Above all, Samaira is very young and still in school. This whole project is like an extra-curricular activity.”

She said it was up to Samaira to make a career choice and she “will never over-encourage or under-encourage her”.

Karisma also has a 11-year-old son Kiaan Raj Kapur. Kareena dotes on both her niece and nephew and Karisma, too is very fond of her sister's sons Taimur and Jehangir.
