Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar’s Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri set for Valentine's Day 2026 release

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri will be directed by Sameer Vidwans, with whom Kartik Aaryan worked previously in Satyaprem Ki Katha.

Actor Kartik Aaryan and filmmaker Karan Johar's reunion project, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, following their much-publicised fallout, has got a release date. The film is expected to be released around Valentine's Day in 2026.

This marks the first time Kartik and Karan Johar are collaborating on a film.

On Friday, trade expert Taran Adarsh took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the latest update about the film, revealing that it will be releasing on February 13.

His post read, “KARTIK AARYAN ARRIVES ON VALENTINE'S 2026 – 'TU MERI MAIN TERA, MAIN TERA TU MERI' RELEASE DATE LOCKED... #KartikAaryan's next film – a love story titled #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri – will arrive in cinemas on 13 Feb 2026 [#ValentineDay weekend]."

With the release date, the makers are aiming to capitalise on the fervor around Valentine’s Day. The film is touted to be a romantic comedy. The makers have yet to drop the first look and official posters from the film. The plot is also being kept under wraps at the moment. It is believed that actor Ananya Panday has been roped in as the female lead in the project.

Titled Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, the film will be directed by Sameer Vidwans, with whom Kartik worked previously in Satyaprem Ki Katha. This marks the first time Kartik and Karan Johar are collaborating on a film. Earlier Dharma Productions had announced Dostana 2 in 2019. The filming of the project had come to a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the production house was yet to resume filming, reports of the fallout between the actor and the filmmaker began circulating.

Some time back, Kartik opened up about his bond with Karan after he was shown a picture of the two of them together at the recent SCREEN LIVE event in Mumbai. In the photograph, Karan is seen pulling Kartik by the ear.

Looking at the picture, Kartik wrote, “Ispe kya bolu? (What do I say to this) I think yeh love and hate relationship hai… Bahut ache yeh photo represent karti hai (I think this is a love and hate relationship. This photo represents that very well.)” He revealed that the picture was taken just before they started working on Dostana 2. Kartik shared, “Yeh moment tab ka hai jab hum logo ne pehli film, jo humari honi thi kabhi, voh sign ki thi. Toh tab ka moment hai. I think he knew ki main… photo pehle se le li thi (This was the moment when our first film, which was going to happen, was signed. This was then. I think he knew that I… so he took the picture beforehand)”.
