“I think it’s a great day to celebrate for them [Peta] because I know they have put in a lot of effort. It’s a huge struggle. Especially in a country where so little is being done for humans — animals come down way down in the list,” said Mahima.
“And I think they are very-very active in India. I salute their effort. I have always tried to support them in my own little way. I love everyone who work for Peta,” she said.
The Bollywood brigade present there consisted of Hema Malini, John Abraham, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon Thadani and Celina Jaitly. International sitarist Anoushka Shankar also attended the event.
