Shane Warne’s range of undies – ‘Spinners by Shane Warne’ – seems to be under fire after the Australian company that manages the sportsman’s line entered into voluntary liquidation.

Lime Door Brands chief executive Michele Hamdorf said that she had spoken to the former spin bowler about the issue but stressed that the voluntary liquidation was not a reflection on the brand’s performance.

"Shane’s well aware of it - it’s nothing to do with him or the Spinners brand. The brands are trading well," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

Hamdorf also added the liquidation move was taken due to her differences with her business partners.

“I put Lime Door Brands into voluntary liquidation after an unresolved stalemate with my three key capital partners,” she explained.

A meeting with the creditors, which has been scheduled on Monday, will decide the future of the fashion consultancy.
