"Some opposition parties are trying to create conflict between the alliance parties but they will not succeed," Katiyar told reporters Rourkela.

BJP had contested nine out of 21 Lok Sabha seats in Orissa and 63 of the 147 assembly seats in the last elections in 2004.

The Assembly elections in the state and 2004 Lok Sabha polls were held simultaneously.
