The KCG office, located in Industrial Development Colony in Sector 14 off MG Road in Gurgaon, catered to about 2,000 high-value consumers.

However, a cell is now being created under the direct control of the superintending engineer (operations), Gurgaon, to attend to the complaints and grievances of the high revenue paying consumers.

A spokesperson of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) said that the operation division was created in 2009 for providing service to 'high-tension' consumers i.e., those having 50 kilowatt load or more at one place. Citing management problems and consumer demand, DHBVN authorities decided to unbundle the KCG Division with immediate effect.

All records will be transferred to the operation sub-divisions controlling the areas in which their connections are located in one week. Around 2,000 consumers will now be served by the operation sub-divisions of their respective areas.
