Kalam will be the guest of the School’s Centre for India and Global Business, whose director is Jaideep Prabhu, the Jawaharlal Nehru professor of Indian Business and Enterprise.

In his address, Kalam will overview the dramatic socio-economic and technological shifts occurring worldwide, the new leadership style required to navigate it and how centre of geopolitical and economic gravity is irreversibly shifting from West to East.

A university release said Kalam will explain in his address why in order to thrive in this turbulent world, corporations, as well as nations, need ‘creative leaders´, a new breed of visionary and empathetic leaders who act less as commanders and more as coaches, less as managers and more as facilitators.

In particular, the release said Kalam will address the catalytic role of the youth in providing creative leadership in emerging economies like India.
