Kidnapped Bihar student returns home

Nirmalendu was kidnapped on January 17 near his home in Phulwarisharief while he was on his way to school.

A Patna schoolboy returned home on Monday 28 days after he was abducted in Patna.

Nirmalendu Diwakar, a Class 9 student of Don Bosco Academy, was released near the outskirts of the city, police said.

Nirmalendu was kidnapped on January 17 near his home in Phulwarisharief while he was on his way to school.

The kidnapping led to widespread protests with hundreds of school students organising mass prayers and staging relay hunger strikes.
