THE LOCAL unit of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) today held a demonstration at the Roshanpura Square protesting the warning issued by Bajrang Dal on New Year celebrations. The NSUI demanded action against persons who incited communalism and fear among the common people.

The NSUI said that 40 members of the organisation would keep a vigil on the entire district and inform any unsavoury activity noticed to the police headquarters. The NSUI has also decided to request the DGP to make wide security arrangements in the capital and other parts of the State in view of the warning issued by the Bajrang Dal.

The organisation said that despite this demonstration to attract attention of the authorities towards threat perception, if any unpleasant incident occurs, the entire responsibility would be on the State Government and police department.

The demonstration was led by state secretary Navin Choubey. In a press release, he has said that the fact that the State Government is remaining a silent spectator despite the clear warning by the Bajrang Dal is indicative
