The blast occurred at about 9.30 am when a CRPF team along with local police officials were returning from clearing a highway near Talkai village, 55 kms from the district headquarters. Maoists had blocked the road with wooden logs, said a police official.
Senior district police officials participating in the official Republic Day celebrations at the district headquarters rushed to the spot, he said.
