WATER SUPPLY in many City areas on Friday will get affected following power cut at Idgah Filtration Plant and Karbala Pump House today.

Areas linked to the Kolar Supply System faced water crisis today. The areas in New Bhopal connected to Kolar Supply System faced water crisis due to low-pressure supply.

In some areas, there was no water supply today morning. Power cut lasting 15 minutes at Kolar Filtration Plant on Wednesday, affected pumping for at least two hours.

On the other hand, there was power cut on three occasions today at Idgah Filtration Plant and Karbala Pump House. According to information, the power cut was reported from 8.20 am to 8.55 am, from 3.30 pm to 4 pm and from 4.15 pm to 4.50 pm.

It would affect water supply in the areas, including Idgah Hills, Shahejahanabad, Ahmedabad, Koh-e-Fiza, Imamigate, Ram Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Gufa Mandir, Regiment Road, Barela, Kabitpura Road, Putlighar, Mazdoor Nagar and Model Ground areas.

BMC council meet on water crisis
ON BJP corporators’ demand, the BMC will convene a special meeting of Bhopal Municipal Corporation council on May 22 to discuss the water crisis. The BJP alleged that Mayor Sunil Sood and the BMC administration were responsible for the water crisis despite availability of sufficient water in the City reservoirs.
