SCS memo to V-C

BAHUJAN CHHATRA Sabha (BCS) members of Allahabad University hailed the election of Jugul Kishore as the Member of Legislative Council in a meeting held in the AU union hall on Wednesday.

Addressing the meeting, AU student union president Ajit Yadav said that Jugul Kishore had been a sincere and honest activist of the Bahujan Samaj Party and his earnest efforts had fetched him a place in the Legislative Council.

The members congratulated Jugul Kishore on behalf of the AU students.

Memorandum: Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha (SCS) members of the AU handed over a memorandum to AU V-C Prof RG Harshe on Wednesday. Former AU students union vice-president Dr Nirbhay Singh Patel, Ripusudan Yadav and Ziya Kaunen Rizvi led the students of AU and its constituent colleges to submit the memorandum to the V-C.

According to Patel, the memorandum submitted to the V-C carried their demands for restoring reservation in the AU entrance examination, no reduction in seats in graduate and post graduate courses and reduction in cost of the application forms from 2007.The students threatened to stage a dharna in front of the V-C’s office if their demands were not .

VC mobbed: AU students led by student leader Zia Kaunen Rizvi gheraoed the AU V-C and handed over a memorandum on Wednesday. The students demanded not to cancel the Urdu, Persian and freedom fighter quota in seats.
