MCD’s pet crematorium at Dwarka now fully operational

Delhi's first municipal pet crematorium is now fully operational in Dwarka, offering cremation services for pets with charges ranging from ₹2,000 to ₹3,000. The facility has received two to three cremation requests per day since opening, and also offers additional services such as memory wall photo frames and urns. The cremation rates are relatively less expensive than private facilities in the city. The project is being executed in a public-private partnership with the NGO, Green Revolution Foundation.

DDA finalises plans to spruce up Dwarka in Delhi

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) plans to beautify and revamp Dwarka, a sub-city in southwest Delhi, including the installation of fountains and statues, as well as revamping footpaths along an 8-km stretch. Tenders for the project will be floated within the next 15 days, with the aim of awarding contracts by the end of December. The project is in response to the lack of adequate streetlights and walkable footpaths in the area, which have been a longstanding concern for residents.
