Given the extraordinary circumstances caused by the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic, there was an increase in the number of booths from where votes were to be counted. In 2015, counting took place at 38 locations.

There were 13,780 polling booths where every vote was accounted for by the presiding officers. Nearly 24 hours after the polling ended in Delhi, the Election Commission on Sunday announced that the final voter turnout was 62.59%.
