Gold, silver prices drop after jump in previous session

In the United States, all eyes are now on Fed Chair Jerome Powell's speech at the annual Jackson Hole, Wyoming, symposium where the taper plan of the country's central bank will be revealed.

Spot gold eased 0.2 per cent to $1,801.65 per ounce.

Gold prices firm up, but still a long way away from record highs

In global markets, spot gold rose 0.3% to $1,791.67 per ounce, hovering below a more than one-week high of 1,795.25 hit on Tuesday. Silver, meanwhile, rose 0.7% to $23.79 per ounce.

Gold, silver prices go up, analysts decode reasons

Concerns over China's regulations for its once-freewheeling internet sector and turmoil in Afghanistan kept investors on the edge. Gold is considered a safe store of value during times of political and financial uncertainty.

Gold prices drop to 46,220 per 10 gram, silver at 67,600 per kg

Gold prices plunge in Indian markets; silver rates slump too

Gold futures on MCX were down 1.5% to ₹47,799 per 10 gram while silver was down 1.6% to ₹70,345.

Among other metals, silver gained 0.5% to $27.09 per ounce, palladium dropped 1% to $2,770.49, while platinum rose 0.5% to $1,127.49.

Gold trades higher, price nears 50,000 per 10 gram; silver reaches new peak

Gold price today edged to ₹49,483 per 10 gram, while silver was trading 0.93% higher at ₹72,565 per kg. Among other precious metals, platinum price has shown an uptick and rose 0.38% to $1195.0 per Troy ounce.
