According to the Daily Mail, officers cordoned off the area, restricting both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The Secret Service later confirmed that the package was located just outside the security perimeter near the executive mansion. After a thorough inspection, authorities gave the all-clear.
Photos and videos from the scene showed bomb squad personnel and emergency vehicles surrounding the area as the investigation unfolded.

Fox 5 DC journalist Allison Papson quoted a US Secret Service spokesperson, who said: “The Secret Service Uniformed Division and Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) investigated a suspicious vehicle at 15th and F Street, NW. As a precaution, road closures were implemented in the area. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team responded and declared the scene as safe. All road closures have been lifted.”
