India's request has been sent to the Foreign Office for necessary action, Bilour told a TV news channel.
According to the proposal, New Delhi is seeking permission to start a freight train service from India to the Middle East and Europe via Pakistan, Iran and Turkey.
Bilour said Bangladesh too had made a similar request for starting a freight train service.
