The companies selling water and cold drinks have hiked the price of the items that will be sold inside the fair exclusively, which means that a bottle of water, which costs Rs 13 in the market, will cost Rs 20.

Similarly, Minute Maid, an orange drink that costs Rs 23 in the market, will cost Rs 40 here.

According to Kamlesh Sharma, general manager, public affairs and communication, Coca Cola India, "Increasing the marked price of a product for sale in specialised channels is allowed."

"It is not that Rs 7 is going to make a difference to me, but it is unethical to increase prices for an event like the trade fair, which common people also attend," said Ranjini Malhotra, a resident of Noida.
