"The water level has come down to 205.82 metre at 8 p.m. The river is still flowing 99 cm above the danger mark of 204.83 metre. It is expected

to recede further on Sunday," said an official of the Flood Control Department. Although the water level has come down from Friday's 206.12 metre, several low-lying areas along the river remained inundated.

However, the situation in several areas including Usmanpur Pusta, Jagatpur Village and Shastri Nagar and Yamuna Vihar improved marginally.

Officials said some people will be asked to leave the relief camps as and when situation improves in their areas.
