Nora Fatehi delivered a thrilling performance at the Canada version of the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony on Friday. She sang her football anthem with performers Vegedream and Sanjoy.

Videos of her performance were shared online by her fans on social media. Nora wore an all-red outfit with cutouts, and her hair was styled in her usual luscious waves. Nora thrilled the audience with her dance moves and electric vocals as hundreds of dancers performed with her.
Talking about performing in Canada at the FIFA World Cup, Nora told ABC News Live, “It's definitely a homecoming for me. It's a moment in my journey. I left Toronto years ago to pursue my career as an actor, singer, and performer in India. And I said to myself, when I officially come back to Toronto to do something, it has to be groundbreaking and on another level. Imagine now it's the World Cup opening ceremony, and I couldn't have asked for a bigger platform.”

Apart from Nora, Katy Perry performed during the United States opening ceremony in Los Angeles on Friday, June 12. She shared the stage with a star-studded lineup that includes Anitta, Future, LISA, Rema and Tyla.
The performance comes as the FIFA World Cup 2026 gets underway across North America. The tournament officially began on June 11 with Mexico vs South Africa in Mexico City. The World Cup is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, an d Mexico.
The first opening ceremony in Mexico City featured performances by Shakira and Burna Boy, who delivered the first live performance of "Dai Dai," the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Other artists who took the stage included Alejandro Fernandez, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Angeles Azules and Mana.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is the largest edition of the tournament to date, featuring 48 teams competing across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The competition will conclude with the final on July 19.

Nora will be next seen in Raghava Lawrence's Kanchana 4. The film also stars Pooja Hegde. Sharing the post on X, the filmmaker wrote, “She comes to Steal your Hearts with her Beauty and Make you Forget your Horror, Welcome on Board 💐 #TheDazzlingDiva @norafatehi to #Kanchana4!
