MCG razes illegal structure near Air Force depot

Continuing its demolition drive in the 900-meter radius of the Indian Air Force ammunition depot, the enforcement wing of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) on Thursday razed an under construction three-storey residential structure.

Continuing its demolition drive in the 900-meter radius of the Indian Air Force ammunition depot, the enforcement wing of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) on Thursday razed an under construction three-storey residential structure.

The demolition squad faced strong resistance from the locals, but adequate police arrangement made the operation successful.

"We have warned the people living in the 900- meter restricted zone around the ammunition depot that no new construction is allowed and any such construction will be demolished," MCG commisioner VS Dahiya said.
