TRP Scam: Complainant gives no objection for withdrawal of the case

Nitin Kashinath Deokar, the first informant in the TRP manipulation case, has given his no objection to the withdrawal of the prosecution. The case involves Republic TV and R Bharat channels, and the plea to withdraw the prosecution was filed by the state government. The ED has already cleared Republic TV and R Bharat from the allegation of manipulating TRP numbers. The agency is still investigating News Nation and India Today. In its charge-sheet, the ED stated that the investigation done by the Mumbai police was at variance with their own investigation.

Court to grill artist Chintan Upadhyay, others with over 800 questions

Artist Chintan Upadhyay and his accomplices will face over 800 questions in the Dindoshi sessions court in relation to the murder of his wife Hema Upadhyay and her lawyer Haresh Bhambhani. According to the prosecution, Upadhyay had hired contract killers to carry out the murders, as the spouses were fighting a bitter divorce matter and the lawyer represented his wife. Swadichha Sane murder case: Police file chargesheet against lifeguard and friend

The Mumbai crime branch has filed a 1,790-page chargesheet against two individuals accused of killing MBBS student Swadichcha Sane in November 2021, citing more than 100 witnesses. The accused allegedly confessed to dumping Sane's body in the sea, but it has not yet been found. The case is based on circumstantial evidence, including CCTV footage and witness statements, and the accused allegedly attempted to create evidence in their defense.
