Huma Qureshi was born in New Delhi. She did her bachelor in History honours from University of Delhi. She worked with Hindustan Unilever and appeared in television commercials. She even joined Act 1 theatre group and performed in a few theatre productions.She made her debut with Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012 and Hollywood debut with the film Partition 1947. She starred in many movies like Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, Jolly LLB 2, Badlapur and many more. Her web series, Maharani was praised for playing the role of Rani Bharti.

I was not expecting to see Huma Qureshi transform into a dumpy Gujarati lady as she does in Tarla, the new Zee5 movie on Tarla Dalal, the most influential Indian cookbook writer of the 20th century. “I have been brought up to believe that biryani is always made with meat,” Qureshi says. “When people compliment me on my performance, I say that if I was convincing when I appeared to enjoy the vegetable biryani, then yes, it was a good performance.”
