NDRF to form special teams to handle forest fires in India, training from Feb 6

Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change shared data during the Parliament session last year pointing to a total of 2, 23,333 forest fire reports across the country from November 2021 to June 2022.

At least 8 workers dead, four still missing after Mizoram stone quarry collapses

Hnahthial superintendent of police (SP) Vineet Kumar said the collapse occurred at around 3pm on Monday when labourers were collecting stones in the quarry in Maudarh village - about 43 minutes from Hnahthial town.
