India, Greece now strategic partners in bilateral boost

India and Greece have upgraded their relations to a strategic partnership and have pledged to double two-way trade by 2030. The two countries also plan to finalise a mobility and migration partnership agreement to facilitate skilled migration. They will expand cooperation in defence, security, infrastructure, agriculture, education, and emerging technologies. This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Greece in 40 years. The two leaders also discussed regional and multilateral issues, including their support for diplomacy and dialogue in resolving the Ukraine crisis.
