President Donald Trump’s hair became the center of attention after he appeared in Las Vegas this week with a fuller-looking hairstyle.
Trump debuted the new look at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday, August 5. During his speech, he spoke about his administration’s economic policies and accomplishments, including tax breaks on tipped income, lower prescription drug prices and “Trump accounts."
But while Trump focused on the economy, social media users quickly turned their attention to his hair. His fuller and shiny hairstyle sparked memes and speculation about whether he was wearing a wig.

Trump's new look has attracted a lot of attention.

Trump's niece speaks out
Donald Trump's estranged niece, Mary Trump, compared his suddenly voluminous hairstyle to Hermey the Elf from “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” claiming the recent hair obsession mirrored one his late father went through as he struggled with dementia, as per The Independent.
Speaking on SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah's YouTube show, Mary Trump said, “I'm not going to say anything about whether it looked good or not. I don't really care. However, he looked like Herby the Dentist from ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ - that's what, that was my takeaway.”
Mary Trump compared the president's hair focus to his late father Fred Trump, who became increasingly preoccupied with his hair loss after his Alzheimer's diagnosis, even wearing an ill-fitting toupee and dyeing his hair and mustache.
"He would leave the dye on too long. So he would end up with a magenta mustache," she said, adding that family, including Donald Trump, found it embarrassing. “And now here's Donald potentially... being all obsessed about his hair kind of like his dad.”

The president's signature hairstyle and orange glow are hallmarks of his brand, and Trump has admitted his hair is a touchy subject, as per USA Today.
While speaking at the 2018 Conservative Political Action Conference in Oxon Hill, Maryland, Trump said, “I try like hell to hide that bald spot, folks. I work hard at it.” That same year, the president's physician revealed Trump takes a drug to combat male-pattern baldness, as per USA Today.
