Indian charged in death of pregnant teen partner may face deportation from US
The 17-year-old victim, who was expecting Tarsem Singh's baby, died in the collision in Ohio on February 17 this year.
An Indian who is charged with vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless homicide in the US after his Jeep killed a 17-year-old pregnant teen could be deported home, according to a report in Newsweek. The mother of the teen has backed the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) decision to deport him back to India.
Under the ICE detainer, Singh is set to remain in custody and could face deportation proceedings following the outcome of the criminal case. A jury trial is scheduled for August 17-21.

The Indian's name is Tarsem Singh, and the teen was pregnant with his baby when she was killed in the Ohio car crash.
"Nobody should ever deserve to die while pregnant with their first kid. I am OK with him being kicked out of the country permanently. We came to find out he came here illegally at first. They can send him wherever he is best off because I don't want him in the States no more," said the mother of the killed teen.
How was she killed?
On February 17 this year, Singh was in his Range Rover with the teen seated in the passenger seat when authorities asked him to stop. He did not stop and instead increased the speed of his vehicle, which led to a chase that reached 100 mph, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The chase went on for 5 miles before Singh reportedly crashed head-on into a Jeep Cherokee, causing his 17-year-old pregnant passenger to be ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead. Singh was taken to a local hospital for injuries and was later arrested. The driver of the Jeep was reportedly injured but remained conscious and alert.

Singh entered the US illegally
Singh entered the country illegally in February 2017 through the southern border in California. He was arrested before being ordered released on bond by a judge.
“This is yet another tragic reminder of why illegal aliens should not be driving cars on America’s roads,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “A 17-year-old woman and her unborn child are now dead as a result of this illegal alien’s reckless actions. We have lodged an arrest detainer with Ohio authorities to ensure this illegal alien is never released and allowed back behind the wheel to put more innocent lives at risk.”
