Abdulbaki Acet, mayor of Taskent in Konya province where the accident happened, said: "Eleven bodies have been pulled from the debris up to now."
The mayor, quoted by NTV news network, said rescue workers were hunting for survivors, but he did not know how many people were still under the ruins of the three-storey building.
Acet said the establishment run by a religious foudation taught the Koran to girls.
