He said the proposed mechanism would involve all stakeholders including the armed forces, paramilitary forces and the external affairs ministry.
“The mechanism will be in place within a few months. The ministry of external affairs is coordinating,” Antony said.
He said New Delhi had articulated its concerns to Beijing over the reported incursions in the Ladakh sector recently.
“The incursions take place due to differences in our perception of the Line of Actual Control. We also go up to our perception of the border,” Antony said.
On the controversy over the date of birth of army chief General VK Singh, Antony said there was no tension between the army and the ministry over the issue. “We are working as a joint family,” he added.
