During the over two-hour meeting at the CRPF headquarters in New Delhi with the force's top brass, Chidambaram discussed Rammohan Committee's report, which inquired into the April 6 incident where 75 CRPF personnel were killed by Naxals in Chhattisgarh.

The Home Minister sought information related to latest pattern of Naxal violence and steps that could be taken to deal with the situation, sources said.

Chidambaram's visit to CPRF headquarters came a day after the paramilitary force shunted out its Deputy Inspector General Nalin Prabhat and two other officers for alleged lapses in the Dantewada tragedy after considering the Rammohan Committee report.
