e-CAT registration deadline extended to Oct 11

Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and Prometric extended the deadline for online registration and sale of vouchers for the Common Admission Test (CAT) till October 11, 2009.

Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and Prometric extended the deadline for online registration and sale of vouchers for the Common Admission Test (CAT) till October 11, 2009. The sale of CAT vouchers at designated AXIS bank branches has been extended till October 8, 2009. Online registration for the maiden computer-based CAT was earlier slated to close on October 1. The "edit" feature will also be available to candidates till October 11. The IIMs and Prometric took the decision due to a series of bank holidays in September.

"With more than 2 lakhs registrations to date, some test sites have already been completely filled," said Ramesh Nava, vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific, Japan and Africa, Prometric. "Candidates are encouraged to check the list of available test sites, read the registration instructions carefully and view the YouTube tutorial video so as to experience a smooth registration process."

Scheduled between November 28 and December 7, the e-CAT will be conducted at 105 testing centres in 32 cities.
