The 24-year-old singer believes it is essential for people to spend the next decade thinking of the impact their actions will have on the planet, Q magazine reported. “We all need to take a bit more responsibility for our carbon footprint. I’m trying but its hard,” Allen said.

However, the Smile hitmaker contradicted her statement after admitting the purchase of an environmentally un-friendly car. “I’ve just bought a new Land Rover. It’s a gas guzzler, but I spend a lot of time in the countryside near my dad, so I feel I need it,” Allen said.

The singer had recently stated that she is planning to make a country music album before she decides to take a break from pop music.
