While the stars perform on stage, microblogging site
plays the voyeur. Inundating it with backstage goss and inside news are celeb Twitteratti. Posting minute-to-minute updates sitting at the awards ceremonies is the newest fad among celebs. Through a tweet that read: “
At stardust awards jus won an award performin in a bit (sic)”, actor Shahid Kapoor told his Twitter followers about his own award even before the event was telecast. American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, too, kept his fans informed about the backstage happenings at the recent Grammy Awards through Twitter. In one of his tweets, he said, “At grammys, Beyonce [Knowles] just got a standing o...looked amazing… Britney just ran by with an entourage of 100...”
While some supply gossip, others share with the world that they’ve arrived. Hobnobbing with the best in showbiz, Mallika Sherawat recently tweeted, “Me n

director Danny Boyle talkin about HiSss at the DGA Awards:) I love his accent.”
Composer AR Rahman used
to thank his team for the Grammy. “I once again want to thank the Almighty, my spiritual teachers, Ameen Peerullah Malik Sahib, Danny Boyle,
