A new contract to replace broken glasses of BEST buses was finalised on Monday. “In the 2009 contract, windscreens and windowpanes of all 270 A/C buses were to be coated with a bulletproof film. Because this wasn’t done, we have to spend on toughened glasses, which adds to the expense,” said Sanjay Potnis, a BEST committee member.

“This is total violation of the contract. We need to know what the administration is going to do against this,” said Ravi Raja, another committee member.
