According to a reply filed by the home department during the monsoon session of the assembly, 249 rapes were registered in the state in 2017, 344 in 2018, 358 in 2019 and 183 cases till July 31, 2020

Organised crime syndicate behind Gauri Lankesh murder, says SIT

The SIT had formed six teams to look at the various angles involved in the case and deployed two of these to parse through closed-circuit television or CCTV camera footage taken from Gauri Lankesh’s house, which had recorded the crime taking place. Eventually, the police interviewed around 2,500 people in connection with the case.
