A total of six miners were killed in a coal mine gas explosion on Tuesday in northwest China, said authorities.

The six miners were underground when the explosion occurred at Xingda coal mine in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's Manas county at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, Xinhua quoted the region's coal mine safety administration as stating.
