ICSE, ISC results: Gurgaon students on a roll

Gurgaon students bagged the top three ISC ranks in Delhi-NCR

Three students from Gurgaon bagged the first three positions in Delhi-NCR in the Indian School Certificate (Class 12) examination, the results of which were declared on Monday. The results of the ICSE(Class 10) exam was also declared.

Keerthana Srikant and Shivang Singh of Scottish High International School (SHIS) bagged first and second positions in Delhi-NCR by securing 99.25% (science) and 98.75% (science) respectively.

The third position was grabbed by Aditi Pasricha (humanities) of The Shri Ram School, Aravalli, Gurgaon, who scored 98.25%.

All rounders, excellent performers and focused, was how the teachers hailed Srikant, Singh, and Pasricha.

Srikant, a resident of Sector 57, studied four hours a day and said believes in hard work as there is no short cut to success. She wants to pursue engineering from a top college. “I am awaiting results of my entrance exams and I am hopeful that I will achieve my goal. I am still shocked and am pinching myself as I can’t believe I did it.”

She secured 100/100 in Maths, computer science and physics, 97 in English and 95 in chemistry.

Singh said he did not expect to be a topper but was hopeful of a good result. He has already secured 100% scholarship from the University of Hong Kong and will join the college in September. “I will take up economics Honours. It has been my dream to pursue higher studies in this subject. My younger brother, who is just nine years old, has a lot to do with my success as he kept on motivating me.”

Singh scored 100/100 in physics, Maths and economics, 95 in English and 92 in chemistry.

“Overall, our school has performed very well and we are proud of the students. The school has always followed the policy of imbibing extracurricular activities along with the academics,” said Bakhtawar Saini, director operations, SHIS.

Pasricha, the humanities topper who is currently on vacation in Himachal Pradesh, was thrilled to learn of her result. Her mother, Suparna Pasricha, said, “She has already got admission in the country’s second best college, Srishti School of Art Design and Technology, Bangalore. She topped in her school exam last year and we were hopeful that she will fare well in the boards.”

“I am so grateful that my hard work paid off and I am thankful to my teachers and parents for believing in me”, said Aditi.

Raman Thandani, with 98%, was the topper in The Shri Ram School, Moulsari Campus. Srinwanti Debgupta of The Shri Ram School, Aravalli secured 97.8% and managed to bag the second position in Gurgaon, while the third position was bagged jointly by Gopika Arora and Smiti Mittal of The Shri Ram School and Mehak Mishra of SHIS. They also scored 97.6%.

Principal Manisha Malhotra of TSRS, Moulsari Campus, wished the high scorers and their families. The school has 100% pass percentage and 45.63% students achieved a score of above 90%.

However, panic spread among the students after the ICSC website crashed for around 15 minutes and students could not access their results.The portal was restored after 15 minutes.
