During the implementation of the new Delhi excise policy, on several occasions, I had flagged the unlawful decisions taken by the AAP government which had to be amended on files. These facts are now in the public domain.

To be sure, LG’s speech the House on the first day of the Budget Session is prepared by the state government.
On Saturday (March 19), the Delhi transport department wrote to central government informing that L-G Anil Baijal has given his approval to the Delhi government’s proposal.
Delhi Police informed the LG that five more police services, including permission for organising rallies and events in the city, will be just a click away by the end of this month.
The meeting comes amid a significant improvement in the coronavirus pandemic situation in the national capital with the daily Covid-19 tally dropping below 500 case.

The number of Covid-19 tests conducted across the national capital saw a major spike on Wednesday. A total of 63,982 RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen tests were carried out, up from 52,736 on Tuesday.

Last week, the Delhi government allowed all private offices in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, outside of Containment Zones, to function with upto 50 per cent attendance. The DDMA had, however, advised the private offices to stagger office timing and the quantum of staff.
Delhi reported a marginal spike in its Covid-19 tally on Tuesday after 6,028 people tested positive for the disease. This was a surge of 268 cases from Monday’s tally of 5,760 infections.
L-G Anil Baijal said that the status quo with regards to weekend curfew and opening of markets should be maintained till the Covid-19 situation further improves.

The Delhi high court also said the government must endeavour to make the super speciality facilities functional at the hospital by March next year, instead of July.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), on September 30, announced a ban on public celebrations of the festival for the second consecutive year.
The move comes after the Delhi high court on September 27 gave conditional approval to the government to cut food grains supply to those Fixed Price Shops (FPS) where patrons have opted for doorstep delivery of ration, instead of collecting it from the shops.
The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Act, 2021 and the Transaction of Business of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) Rules, 1993 came into effect from March 28, 2021, by which some crucial provisions of the earlier act stood amended.
