Ludhiana dist reports 51 new Covid cases

The district on Sunday recorded 51 new Covid cases, with the positivity rate shooting up to 9.17% from 5.75% on Saturday

Uttar Pradesh reports 1,352 new Covid cases and two deaths in 48 hours, with 1,402 recoveries. Lucknow saw 240 new cases and 329 recoveries.

Elderly patient succumbs to Covid in Panchkula, second in 3 days

Mohali had the most number of new Covid cases at 43, followed by Panchkula with 35 cases and Chandigarh with 24 cases. Most of these patients are in home isolation and only 17 from Chandigarh, five from Panchkula, and two from Mohali are hospitalised.

In terms of infections, the tricity saw a drop in daily cases with 102 cases being reported on Monday as compared to 172 the day before. The active case count in Chandigarh tricity area now stands at 877. (HT File)

Rise in Covid cases: Masks a must in Haryana at gathering above 100

In past week at least 25,404 Covid tests were conducted across Haryana. Though at present there are 724 active patients in Haryana, none of them is in the hospital. “It has also been made mandatory for all health workers in the state to wear masks,” an official spokesperson said.

Slight rise in Covid cases in U.P.’s Agra, Mathura districts

Agra has reported one more Covid-19 case, taking the total to 12. Four patients have recovered, leaving eight active cases. In Mathura, seven people have tested positive since March 6, with two recoveries, while four cases have been reported in Aligarh. The Agra CMO has urged people with symptoms to get tested, while others should adopt precautions like wearing masks, using sanitizers and social distancing.

Maharashtra health minister urges citizens to put masks back as Covid cases rise

The areas that have been classified as clusters with the highest number of cases in the state are in Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Palghar districts.

Maharashtra on Friday reported 1,134 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths. Of 1,134 cases, Mumbai accounted for 763 infections.
