During interrogation, accused Aftab Poonawala told Delhi Police that he and Shraddha Walkar had a fight when she suspected him of having an affair and pressed him to marry her. He lost his temper during the argument and strangled her by sitting on her chest.

Winter chill sets in: Mercury may fall to 10°C in Delhi this week, IMD predicts

Delhi’s minimum temperature on Sunday was 12.6 degrees Celsius – one degree below normal for this time of the year and the joint-lowest minimum of this winter season so far.

Forecasts from the Indian weather office show that Delhi’s minimum is expected to remain around the 13-degree mark until Wednesday, before dipping closer to 12 degrees on Thursday, to around 11 degrees by Friday and is likely to touch the 10-degree mark by Saturday.

Wind gifts Delhi cleanest November air since 2020

Delhi clocked an air quality index (AQI) of 260 on Wednesday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) 4pm bulletin (taken as the reading for a city’s pollution levels), a sharp dip from 372 on Tuesday.

17% UAPA cases still to be probed: Cops to Delhi HC

The statistics were given to the Delhi high court in response to five appeals by the accused in separate cases who challenged the trial court’s order extending the detention period from 90 days to 180 days.

Low enforcement of vehicle curbs, fines still to pick up: Data
