Pune district collector issues stern warning to officials over financial impropriety in Ring Road land acquisition

While the MSRDC has sanctioned ₹10,519 crore for the project, the collector during the review meeting said that the administration has received complaints of financial impropriety on the part of officials while acquiring land for the project from farmers and residents at large

The Ring Road has been bifurcated into the eastern and western zones wherein the eastern zone comprises Maval and Kelawade and the western zone comprises Bhor, Haveli and Mulshi talukas of the district. MSRDC collected 120.84 crore in toll on two highways in six months

Car owners in Mumbai and surrounding areas have paid ₹120.84 crore in toll for using the Eastern and Western Express Highways in the first half of 2023, according to data from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. The toll is for the flyovers and bridges across the city, not the highways themselves, said Radheshyam Mopalwar, managing director of MSRDC, in response to a demand from a local politician to stop charging motorists for using the highways. Toll rates for cars are ₹40 for one way.

Days after 18% toll hike on e-way, commuters, vehicles shift to old Mum-Pune highway

PMC decides to handover TP schemes to Phursungi & Uruli Devachi municipal council

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will handover three proposed town planning schemes in Phursungi and Uruli Devachi to the newly-formed municipal council after their demerger from PMC. The schemes will come up on an area of 650 hectares. The PMC had planned to implement the schemes after the merger of the villages in 2017. However, the state government approved a separate municipal council for the villages on March 31, 2023. The new council will prepare the development plan for the area and execute the town planning schemes.
