Delhi govt asks ‘willing’ staff from other hospitals to join its 3 new facilities

There have been no new appointments for the hospitals in Burari and Ambedkar Nagar, which is being run by already diverted staff from other hospitals. The two hospitals together have 500 beds for the treatment of patients with coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

200 beds in Ambedkar Nagar hospital to open by month-end; 450 beds in Burari likely to start from next week

The health department has prepared a proposal to first start 200 beds in the 600-bedded facility Ambedkar Nagar -- seven years after it was first approved -- all of which will be dedicated to Covid-19 patients.

The Burari facility, which has a capacity of 700 beds, will also have 250 beds with oxygen support.
